It was a warm summer’s night last Friday when the all-Oceanic double bill of WA’s El Hornet of Pendulum and NZ’s Shapeshifter hit Sydney’s dancefloor once again, a year after their sold-out show at the Basement. A lot has happened since – Shapeshifter toured Europe and Pendulum released their debut album, which was made Triple J’s Album of the Week happily the same week of the gig. It was lucky this excursion took place at the Gaelic Club as the demand for the party far outstripped the Basement’s capacity.

 Last Saturday, Sydney saw Goldie conclude his Oceanic tour with MC Lowqui and celebrate forty years of being a badman. More than a thousand punters packed out a rejuvenated Home to share in the festivities.
